Charities We Support
Our wildly popular annual golf tournament is our biggest fundraiser of the year. But there's more! Our group also holds other fundraising events for charity throughout the year. Our cookouts are legendary and we are always looking for new chefs and those willing to man the grill.
Home Repair and Improvement
Assistance includes men who are incapacitated or their widows who need assistance with essential home maintenance or repair. This includes wheelchair ramps, installing grab bars in bathrooms, replacing rotten wood or windows-doors, replacing light bulbs, installing fans, and repairing decks/walkways.
Men to Men Ministry
The Men's Fellowship sponsors a team of 12 to 16 men who, on a rotating basis in teams of two, identify and respond in a thoughtful, compassionate, Christe like manner to men in the community who are suffering with physical or emotional needs. This includes men recovering from illness or surgery, men grieving loss of a spouse, or simply men who are isolated and lonely. The visiting teams of two often present small gifts of food or invite them for coffee or lunch. Men's Fellowship devotes several thousand dollars each year to this ministry.
Timothy House
The Timothy House is a Christian based Residential Drug and Alcohol Recovery Rehab Facility located in Talking Rock. It is a 9 to 24 month Residential Counseling and Community Service Rehab Center. It has helped hundreds of men conquer their addictions to drugs and alcohol and is based on applying Biblical principles in everyday life. Residents are carefully screened, pay a tuition, and are required to participate fully in all aspects of the program to stay enrolled. Community involvement includes volunteering at the Jasper Thrift store, Food Bank, and Good Samaritan. They currently house 47 men in their facility and depend on donations to continue their operation.
